It's time for an upgrade

So one thing I like about my life is the fact that I'm not, in the words of Scott, a Techno-Retard. And since I pride myself as such, and have become a person the family comes to for advise on technology I felt that it was necessary for me to make a huge upgrade. Back when I was at DLI I made a purchase that, at the time, made me very happy. It was my first TV, and while it was small it allowed me to watch movies and play my XBOX. That might have been one of the reasons that I failed out of Chinese...but that's a whole different story and not the reason I'm "bragging" in this post. It's clearly obvious that, based on the picture provided, as a non-Techno-Retard I was behind the times. I needed to desperately improve my station in life so I could truly be a non-Techno-Retard. So, this past weekend I went out to Best Buy and upgraded my toys. I am pleased to present my latest toy and greatest joy. I think it's a pretty good upgrade from the 21" CRT that I purchased 4 years ago. I was checking out the different options for the past 8-10 months or so. Before I deployed I was looking at getting me a 42" LCD and was following the prices ~$1200-1400. So imagine my surprise when I got home and saw that I could get a 46" for less money. That's one think I live about technology, if you wait a few months you can get something that's better for less. And since you'll never have the top of the line (at least for long) who cares that it's not the latest and greatest? In case you're wondering that's a Sharp Aquos and the picture quality is great. And that movie I was watching, Joyeux, Noël, is great. If you've not watched it you should. And now I've shown off my new baby and therefore done my bragging all at once, so I'm done.

Well, I think you could say it's not as necessary for an upgrade as it is for an update (on your blog, that is). Where have you been? We're all ears for when you do decide to update. . . . :)
